Description: RoadTripping is a 3D Endless Runner where the central mechanic of “Roadtrippin” revolves around maintaining your high by collecting an array of enticing items scattered along the road. These items are essential to your journey, not only propelling you forward but also fueling your high and boosting your score.

Responsibilities:

Main Game Designer and Developer:
    • Created the Concept of Road Tripping while keeping in mind what happens when consuming hallucinogens.
    • Designed the game so that as you consume more hallucinogens, the environment and the obstacles the player and character see start changing and becoming more terrifying as they are under more of the influence.
    • Keeping the influence of Hallucinogens in mind, I made sure the player can overdose if they consume too much.

 

Main Game Developer:
    • Developed this game on Unity.
    • Programmed the Endless Runner functionality by creating a Prefab of the road tile with randomized placements of the obstacle on it each time.
    • Developed the game so that the styles of the tiles being used are based on the level of hallucinogens consumed by the player.
    • Programmed the movement so that Player speed increase based on the level of hallucinogens.
    • Programmed how each pickable item can affect the player by creating scriptable objects in Unity
