Description:

“A third-person survival game where you play as a hero escaping global food scarcity to build a village on a deserted island. Explore dangerous lands, gather resources, and keep your people fed to grow the community. The more you help them, the more they’ll help you in your quest for survival.”

Responsibilities

Main Game Designer:

  • Designed the main concept of the game based on the Theme of World Hunger.
  • Created the concept of Community Survival where the player has to gather resources to feed their community who will develop themselves to help the Player for their efforts.
  • Designed most of the mechanics that would be used in game:
    • Gathering Resources of multiple tiers of Nutrition.
    • Community Hunger Bar System.
    • Community Development System.
  • Designed the Main Game Loop.
  • Helped create the game on Unreal and develop the island using Landscape.
  • Helped create some of the blueprints used for the player functionality.

Level Designer

  • Designed the layout of the island that would later be implemented in Unreal Engine 5 which included 3 separate Zones/Levels.

Project Manager:

  • Created and managed Tasks for weekly scrums on Trello and later on Click Up for a team of 13 contributors.
  • Created a roadmap for the development of the game over the course of 3 months while keeping milestones, development priorities for the sake of the build and deadlines in mind
